Finally the much awaited folding smartphone Samsung Galaxy Z Fold came on the market. The South Korean company unveiled their new foldable phone at an online launch event on August 5. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the company's third folding phone. Earlier, Samsung launched Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Flip.
This phone is more expensive than the Galaxy Fold. It has a 4,500 mAh battery, ultra-thin glass protection, and a Snapdragon 75 Plus processor. The company has so far launched the folding phone in 40 markets, including the United States and South Korea. Although the launch date or price in India, nothing is known.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has been launched with a storage. It has 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage priced at, 1,999.
The phone will first be available in Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze colors. Later metallic silver, metallic red, metallic blue and metallic gold colors will also be available. Along with this phone, the South Korean company has also launched the Galaxy Z Fold 2nd Brown Edition.
When the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is unfolded, it is given a 6.7-inch Full HD Plus Dynamic AMOLED Infinity and display. It has a pixel resolution of 1,6 x 2,207 and an aspect ratio of 22.5: 18. The refresh rate of this display is 120 Hz. When you fold the phone again, there is a 6.2 inch Super AMOLED Infinity Flex display. It has a resolution of 617x2260 pixels and an aspect ratio of 25: 9. Both screens come with bezel lace and punch hole cut out. It has a 10 megapixel selfie camera with f / 2.2 lens.
This folding phone has Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 75 Plus processor. There is also 12 GB RAM and 256 GB on board storage. Its storage cannot be expanded via microSD card. As an operating system, it has Android 10 based OneUI 2.5 skin. Again, for security, there is a fingerprint sensor next to the phone. It has a 4,500 mAh battery with fast charging support. USB Type C port is available here for charging. It has Dolby Atmos support with stereo speakers.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a triple camera on the back. Its primary sensor is 12 megapixels with f / 1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization. There is also a 12 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a 12 megapixel telephoto lens. This camera can be used for video recording and slow motion video recording. The phone weighs 279 grams.
