We've all heard of submarines. The English word submarine in Bengali means submarine. A ship is not just a huge vessel floating on water. A submarine is a type of vessel that can carry many passengers underwater effortlessly. The financial value of each submarine is much higher. At first it was made to fight. However, submarines are now used to search for ships or other objects that have sunk at sea, to repair underwater pipes or cables, for underwater research, and even to navigate underwater. There are many different types of submarines in the world. Such as: Hyper-Sub, Yellow Sub, Easy and Compact Semi-Submarine, Sibricher-X, Nautilus, Nuclear Submarine etc. One of these is one of a kind and each submarine is used for a variety of purposes.

Currently, there are only 36 countries with submarines. North Korea, China, South Korea, Russia, Iran, Japan, India, Greece, Turkey have significant number of submarines. Of these, North Korea has 72 submarines.

The name of the largest submarine in the world is "Akula". It ruled the seas in the 80s and 90s. The pseudonym of this submarine was "Project 941". This submarine is 564 feet long and weighs 23,500 tons. It had a speed of 22 knots per hour, which was one of the fastest submarines of that time. They could run at a speed of 28 knots while sinking under water. There are currently two submarines in Bangladesh. On 12 March 2016, two submarines "Navayatra" and "Jayayatra" were added to the Bangladesh Navy. With the addition of these submarines, the Bangladesh Navy became a three-dimensional navy. Both submarines are 6 meters long and 7.8 meters wide. Both contain torpedoes and mines that can attack enemy ships and other submarines.

 Some interesting facts about submarines:

·         When the submarine needs to be sunk, water is pumped into the ballast tanker. If it needs to be floated again, the water from the ballast tanker is taken out and the air is quickly injected with the help of the device. As a result, the submarine floated on the water.

·         There is no change in pressure inside or outside the submarine. Because it uses high quality steel, metals like titanium.

·         Small sized submarines can only stay underwater for a few hours. However, large sized Typhoon class submarines can stay underwater for about 6 months.

·         The U.S. Navy's Tri-Estate submarine went to the world's deepest place, the Mariana Trench, in 1980 at a depth of 36,000 feet.

·         Instruments are used to deliver oxygen inside the submarine.

·         How long the submarine will stay under water depends on the fuel stored and the food of the crew.

·         The diesel submarine came up to take fuel shortly after. However, nuclear submarines can stay underwater for more than 25 consecutive years.

·         The current U.S. nuclear submarine is capable of taking the most pressure.

·         Currently notable military submarines include cruise missiles, nuclear warheads, ballistic missile submarines.
