Cyber Awareness Month (CAM) October 2020 is starting from next Thursday. The main theme of this year's global campaign is 'IF YOU CONNECT IT, PROTECT IT'. This theme is designed to keep devices connected to other gadgets on the Internet or offline safe and secure from external influences. The official champion of the global campaign, jointly led by the US Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance, is the Cyber Crime Awareness Foundation (CCA Foundation), a voluntary organization in Bangladesh. The organization has been officially implementing this program in Bangladesh since 2016. The global campaign is a collaborative effort to create cyber security awareness at the level of businesses, government and non-government organizations, colleges, universities, associations, non-profit organizations and individuals.

More than ever, in recent years, integrated use of connected devices, both online and offline, has been observed to ensure effective communication and ensure good quality. Unfortunately, cyber criminals or hackers may use specific and vital information related to a person or business for negative purposes based on the information on the devices we use. Cyber Awareness Month (CAM) October 2020 will be celebrated with the aim of educating the general public about national security risks as well as instructing the public on how to take the minimum security measures for the common devices used.

This year the Cyber Awareness Month program will be implemented in four parts. The month-long program will cover the following: - Understanding and adhering to common security measures for connected devices and home networks

:: The importance of connected device security in the case of remote workers

:: The importance of connected devices in the future health sector

:: Future Vision of Connected Devices in User, Professional and Public Domains

The CCA Foundation believes that the practice of strong security measures, raising public awareness, and educating at-risk users and employees will increase their risk-taking ability to build a secure interconnected world. -Notification.
