We often upload a lot of photos and videos on Facebook, which are not stored online separately. So they have no backup. If the Facebook server suddenly goes down or there is a problem with the Facebook account, those pictures and videos may be lost. You may also want to keep a backup of all the photos and videos you have uploaded to Facebook. So far it has not been possible. From now on you can get this backup with just a few clicks.
The tool for transferring user-uploaded photos and videos to Google Photos was piloted on Facebook last year. Earlier this year, the feature was launched in some countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Africa.
Now the feature is open to all Facebook users in the world. The desktop version of Facebook or the mobile app, both platforms can be used to transfer photos to Google Photos feature.
Rules for copying photos from Facebook to Google Photos
Computer or web version
Follow the rules below to transfer photos from Facebook to Google Photos on your computer.
Login to Facebook account
Click on the arrow from the right corner to enter Settings

• Select the Transfer a replica of Your Photos or Videos option
Google Select Google Photos as the destination
• Then login to your Google account and complete the rest of the process.
How to do in mobile app
The rules for transferring photos from Facebook to Google Photos using the mobile app are much the same as for desktops. Follow the rules below to transfer photos from Facebook to Google Photos via mobile app.
Log in to the Facebook app
Enter Settings from the Hamburger menu (three parallel spots)
Your Scroll down and enter your Facebook Information
• Select the Transfer a replica of Your Photos or Videos option
Google Select Google Photos as the destination
• Then login to your Google account and complete the rest of the process.
Note that if you transfer photos using the tool, all the photos and videos in your Facebook account will be imported to Google Photos. That is, it is not possible to select pictures separately here. If you delete a photo from Google Photos, it will not be deleted from Facebook. Photos on Facebook need to be deleted separately (if desired).
